Purdue Boilermaker Special Edition Hanoverian Watches
Indiana-Assembled Automatic Watches Built for Boilermaker Pride
Built to be worn, not shelved.
The Purdue Boilermaker Special Edition Hanoverian collection combines Purdue traditions, German-inspired design, and Indiana assembly in two limited-edition automatic watches created for alumni, students, families, faculty, staff, and Boilermaker supporters.
Each watch is assembled, regulated, and tested in Indiana and powered by a Miyota 9015 automatic movement. The initial collection is limited to 100 watches, with 50 pieces in each configuration.
Boilermaker Details in Every Tick
Both Purdue Hanoverian models incorporate details inspired by the University’s traditions and visual identity.
The Purdue Motion P® anchors the dial. At twelve, an hour marker shaped after the cowcatcher of a steam locomotive pays tribute to the Boilermaker Special. A seconds hand modeled after Purdue Pete’s sledgehammer moves around the dial, turning a familiar Purdue symbol into a functional element of the watch.
A Purdue Watch Designed for Everyday Wear
Purdue pride does not end at graduation, after a game, or when someone leaves campus. It remains connected to friendships, family traditions, professional achievements, and the experiences that make someone a Boilermaker.
Fleddermann von Rieste created the Purdue Boilermaker Special Edition Hanoverian to provide a lasting and functional expression of that connection.
These are automatic watches designed to be worn through ordinary days and important milestones. They can commemorate a graduation, recognize a professional achievement, celebrate an alumni connection, or become part of a family’s Purdue story.
The Purdue elements are incorporated into the design of the Hanoverian rather than added as an afterthought. Each version uses recognizable Boilermaker details while preserving the proportions, mechanical character, and everyday versatility of the underlying Hanoverian platform.
Purdue Motion P® Dial Detail
The Purdue Motion P® creates an immediate connection to the University while remaining integrated into the overall dial design.
Cowcatcher & Purdue Pete Sledgehammer Details
The hour marker at twelve takes its shape from the locomotive’s cowcatcher. A second hand inspired by Purdue Pete’s sledge gives the watch a Purdue detail.
